Wailing of a Broken Heart

Heart and soul!
Both keeping me up on my sole
I reminisce the glances, at you, I once stole
Which takes me back to the days I said I love you so…

Heart and soul!
Was it what you or I said
That took away the love we once shared?
Now, we have put love to rest and watched as it’s quietly laid

What more can we do for love?
When we no longer feel we can have issues solved?
You look away and I look away
How then can love, once again, come our way?

Is it worth it?
Was it, from the start, healthy?
How can we say our goodbyes;
When now, I feel it’s you I wanna have come by?

  1. Comment:The piece is appealing and well constructed. The writer beautified it with loads of figurative devices. Well done sir!
