The Guild of Professional Fine Artists (GFA) has elected Sam Ebohon as the new president. His ascension to the ‘throne’ came on the heels of the guild’s sixth convention, held at GFA Secretariat, NCAC Annex, National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos. Other elected members of the executive include Vice-President, Juliet Ezenwa Maja-Pearse; General Secretary, Nobert Okpu; Financial Secretary, Osagie Aimufia; and Social Director, Bimbo Adenugba.
In his acceptance speech, Ebohon traced his membership to the early years of GFA and requested support from the general members. He stated that the election had given them a pointer to the fire that was burning inside them and convincingly stressed that they had much more to achieve together..
