Just Man

What a dangerous thing it is to believe a man is more than just a man

For by this same sin were mere men made gods, till they failed
And this same evil brought Goliath to his grave
For man, no matter how great is just man in the end
Prone to mistakes like every other
Fragile beneath all the bravado, and cracking; cracking under all that weight on his shoulder
After all, who is any man that he should bear the weight of a people
Or God forbid, the world; even the son of God almost couldn’t take that cup
Synopsis: This poem reiterates the biblical portion that rebukes anyone that puts his trust in any man for his daily needs or fulfillment of any desire.
